Florida Cavern State Park, Nov 5

Since I was in the area, and the weather was amazing, I took a trip to Florida Caverns State Park in Marianna, FL. Can't compare to Mammoth Caves National Park, in KY, but it was a nice day for a short walk on the trails and cave tour.

Busch Gardens, June 4

Thanks to my Veteran status, every year I get four free tickets to either Busch Gardens or Sea World. Last year I invited Donna, Gerald, and Leah to Sea World. That was smack dab in the middle of the Covid pandemic and what a night mare. 😱Or maybe Sea World is always a night mare, I'm not sure. The service was just horrible and the lines were hours long. It took us nearly two hours to get lunch and I swear, the employees were working in slow motion. It was like everyone had the Covid brain fog. Anyway... that as last year.  This year we went to Busch Gardens and it was the exact opposite. 😊It as storming in the morning so we decided on a little later of a start (plus I had to drive from Orlando). By 11:00 when we met, the rains had just about ended. The weather was overcast which was fantastic since that helped keep the heat at a minimum. The place was not crowded either. Ireland, Day 9, Jun 23

Seventh riding day; another favorite stretch through the country. I actually left before the others because I wanted to take my time and enjoy the scenery. I figured they would pass me by eventually and I wouldn't feel like I had to chase them the entire time. And it worked, though they caught me sooner than I expected. It was so beautiful that they were stopping more as well, so it felt a little more leisurely. The wildflowers were amazing, and I loved all the stone walls. They were lining every road and field.  Such friendly cows. Whereas the sheep completely ignored us, or slowly walked away when we approached, as soon I stopped to take a picture, all of these cows stood up and came to the fence. They must receive regular treats from the neighbors. The FL group, minus Vinny. They caught up with me before this point, but we were leap frogging the entire time. My bike on the trip. I loved it!!

FFW Holiday Ride, Baldwin Park, Dec 11

My first holiday ride with the FFW. I still need to keep showing up to these things to establish a wider network of friends. I rode the ride by myself, but did engage in a little small talk, so that was a win. After the ride, the club had cookies and wine, so there was more small talk.   I can't believe I actually bought this jacket!! I wanted to look festive, but this is a bit ridiculous!  The gaudiest house gets all the attention! The ride was quite pretty. Many houses were well decorated. This one was just over the top so of course we stopped to get pictures.
