Ireland, Day 3, Mizen Head to Kilarney, Jun17

Our first day of riding! It was a chaotic start. They could not get the battery out of my bike so I was riding with the hope of whatever juice it had left over would last me (it did). But my issue was better than the other two e-bike issues. They charged the batteries, then left them in the hotel! So, Sarah rode her road bike without the battery without any problem. Turns out she was a much stronger rider than she thought and rode the entire trip without the battery. Unfortunately, Vinny had an urban upright bike, not a road bike, and wasn't able to ride more than maybe ten miles. She was very angry she was the only one without a road bike. I couldn't blame her one bit!!

Apart from the bike issues, the ride was great. The scenery was amazing.

Selfie before the ride start. I was ready to get going!!!

Ride start location. Beautiful. Very dramatic with the cliff and the clouds.

The country roads were amazing. Loved every minute of it. Every turn revealed another beautiful scene.
Climbing the hills. Thank goodness my battery held out. I kept it on low because I was afraid it would die, then I would be stuck walking up the hills, but it made it.

Favorite scene of the day.
