Rays Baseball for Father's Day, Jun 26

 For Father's Day this year, Donna and I took Dad to a game. The Rays won! Great game and great company. It's very special to be able to share the experience with family and I love that I am once again close enough to do these kinds of events. I also love that the Rays play in a closed, air conditioned stadium!!! It is hot as Hades down here right now.

Day 4 in Ireland was day 2 of riding. We did 27 miles and 1200 feet of climbing. Most of it was on a main road, which I wasn't crazy about. Vinny was with us for most of the ride, but I felt terrible that she had to ride that urban bike when we were all on road bikes.  The group at ride start. Lots of beautiful old churches surrounded by flowers. Amazing scenery. Unfortunately, this was taken when we were stopped to catch our breath from a long fast run on a busy road. The car drivers were very courteous, but they were still cars passing us constantly, and I hate that. I was after the relaxing country roads. Us at the end point.

Prepping for Ireland, Jun 4

The cycling group that is going to Ireland together did a ride from Irish 31 (an Irish pub). They slowed the ride down for me and maybe another member, but probably mostly me. We rode 29 miles and I was beat! After we had lunch and a shot of whiskey 😋

Kayaking from Juniper Springs, Aug 23

Went with El, Diane, and five of Diane's friends on a kayak trip from Juniper Springs. The current was really moving (we even found a little white water), but it was tight!! Definitely needed paddling skills to get around the logs and branches. We saw three alligators and a bunch of turtles. It was a fun day out even if it was tough staying out of the trees. El said many times, "one and done", and I have to agree with her. There are much better places to paddle in central FL.
